"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved."

(Act 2:21)

Be Encouraged to Persevere

The world outside may be in turmoil of different kinds, but the inner peace that only God can provide can still guard your life within.

The first step is humility — that is, you being humble before God, and asking His release from all the burdens inside, pushing to keep you down. Ask God directly for His forgiveness for all your mistakes or sins — as each of us has made mistakes, no one is faultless.

Take heart! There is freedom in knowing that Jesus Christ already paid for your sins on the cross. He took your place and your punishment for sins. Payment for your sins is finished! God is now inviting you to voluntarily ask Jesus about what He accomplished in Calvary for you—into your life, Jesus as your personal Savior.

It may seem like a cliché saying—that God loves you—but it is true. Open your heart to Him and experience the inner peace that only God can give.

Accept God’s invitation by saying this prayer.  Turn over any fear, excessive worry, or emptiness in your life to the Lord God — even now, pray aloud this prayer, direct to God:

“Lord Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins, and I believe that You rose again from the dead on the third day.  I ask forgiveness for all my sins, Lord God.  I open my heart, and I ask you, Lord Jesus, to come inside and be my Savior.  I ask for your inner peace in my life.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.”

We rejoice with you if you prayed this prayer! Then you can overcome earthly life’s trials by guidance from reading the Word of God, the Christian Bible, which is inspired by the Holy Spirit and contains God’s instructions and promises. As you continue to remain humble before His leadership in your personal life, His peace will remain within you.

Please Pray with Us

Lord God, I take a moment to thank You for all the good things, even the very breath in my lungs!
This earthly life will never be perfect, and I look to you, Lord God, the Source of true inner peace.
Lord, Holy Spirit, I humble myself and ask that You help me change so that I may show your wonderful Presence.
Make your holy word, the Bible, come alive as I read it daily to guide me in the way eternal.

I ask all these in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Calendar Events

  • Pentecost Offering – From now through Sunday, May 19, we will be collecting the Pentecost Offering, a special offering designated for ministries with youth. The PCUA uses sixty percent of the offering to support young adult volunteers, youth ministries, and the Educate a Child, Transform the World initiative.
Forty percent of the offering remains with our congregation to support ministries with children and youth in our local community. This year, we have chosen CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of The Parkland to receive our portion of this offering. This organization recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who assist the court in protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children in Missouri’s 24th Circuit (Madison, Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois, and Washington counties.)
Use the specially provided envelopes or write “Pentecost” in the subject line of your check and place your donation in the offering plate.
    Please give generously.

  • “Eclipse Hunger” Food Drive – To commemorate this year’s total eclipse on April 8, we are challenging the congregation to collect 1000 food items between March 3rd and May 12th to be donated to Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry.
