About Our Values and Mission

Bible on table

We believe God loves every person, no matter that person’s background; and God calls each person to come and experience His power to heal.  We all have inner longings or hurts, which can find solutions by calling upon Jesus Christ.

All persons have made mistakes or sins since childhood — and the good news is that Jesus Christ came to earth to pay the penalty for human sins on the cross.  But Jesus rose from the dead on the third day; victorious over the grave, sin, and death.  This was a very special event because Jesus is a special Person, as further explained next.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit — who are co-equal and almighty.  We believe in Jesus Christ’s deity, the virgin birth, and Jesus’ sinless life on earth.  We believe in salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ, whose finished work in Calvary is the redemptive sacrifice for sins (Romans 10:8-11; John 3:16; Hebrews 9:26-28; etc.).  We believe in the Holy Spirit who draws people to God, convicting, sanctifying, indwelling the believer, and giving spiritual growth.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the guide to matters of salvation, faith, and conduct.  We believe in teaching and obeying all the principles and commands of God in the Bible (e.g. the Great Commission, Matthew 28:18- 20).  We believe that Christians are to grow in service and love to other people, grow in obedience and love to God, and live out their faith in all aspects of earthly life.

About Our Pastor

Rev. Racquel Tomacruz strives to share practical Bible-centered, Christ-centered messages.  She believes firmly in “lifting Jesus up high” so that people will look to the Lord Jesus alone for lasting solutions.

Racquel earned her Master of Divinity degree (MDiv.) at Regent in Vancouver, Canada.  She learned under some good Bible scholars, seminary professors: J. I. Packer, Gordon Fee, Bruce Waltke, and Eugene Peterson.

She will gladly pray together with people after a dialogue on what may be troubling them on a particular day.  And equally glad to pray one’s praises and thanksgiving to God when blessings are evident.

Racquel extends the invitation for you to visit the church events; be welcomed and helped by the church members; and experience in practical ways the love of God.
